Demo Guide

The Yet Another Zombie Survivors demo is the honest try-before-you-buy. It is not a second game. It is Isolated City with the auto-fire loop, a short clock, and the same blob you will steer in 1.0. Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation host it. Nintendo will not host a Switch demo until the full game can be uploaded, so a Switch listing with a demo button is still vapor. Store shelves, specs, and discounts live on platforms. This page is only the free slice.

The Steam Fest capture in the middle of this article is real 4K footage of that auto-fire loop. It is not a 1.0 Bio Lab tour. Watch it to see that you move the squad and the guns fire themselves. Then install the live demo and prove it with a stick or WASD.

Where to download

Steam: open the store page and use the demo button. Xbox and PlayStation storefronts carried a demo through the 1.0 window; search the title on your console if the widget moved. GOG sold the full game on 20 August 2026; treat GOG as a full-game store, not a demo host, unless the live page says otherwise.

Cloud saves do not jump from demo to paid on every store. Finish a dawn in the demo, then buy, then check whether your account imported Training. If it did not, you lost a refundable tree, not a unique survivor. SWAT, Tank, and Engineer are free in the full game anyway.

What the demo is for

Prove the loop. Circle Isolated City. Vacuum gems. Pick a weapon evolution. Rescue two teammates when corners ping. If that feels like a chore, do not buy 1.0 hoping Bio Lab will invent a twin-stick shooter. If that feels like the game, the paid roster, Hardcore, Endurance, Ranger at Survival Level 175, and the Camp are the rest of the receipt.

The demo will not teach Hardcore, Boss Rush, or how to unlock Infinite. Those clocks belong to the full client. Do not rage at a demo tooltip that never mentioned 30 minutes of Endurance.

What the demo is not

It is not co-op. The three survivors are still one player. See co-op. It is not a codes page; there is no redeem box. See promo codes. It is not Steam Deck certification by itself; the full game is Deck Verified. See Steam Deck.

Fest builds and live demos can differ. If a YouTube from 2024 shows fewer survivors or an old Endless label, that is archaeology. 0.9 split Endless into Endurance and Infinite. 1.0 shipped Ranger and Bio Lab. The demo you download today should match the store description on the day you click it, not a Fest thumbnail.

After you like it

Buy 1.0. Run Getting Started. Spend Training, then refund it: training. Unlock Huntress at fifteen minutes. Ignore Ranger until Survival Level 175. If handheld is the plan, read the Deck page before you chase a 45-minute Endurance on 20 percent battery.

If you bounce off the demo, that is useful. Vampire Survivors-likes are a taste. This one is a squad blob, not a hero you aim. The 1.0 review is the buy/don’t-buy essay. The demo is the five-dollar-free version of the same argument.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is there a Yet Another Zombie Survivors demo?

Yes on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. Nintendo will not host a Switch demo until the full game can be uploaded.

Does the demo include Ranger and Bio Lab?

Treat the live store description as truth. Ranger and Bio Lab are 1.0 full-game features; the demo is the Isolated City loop.

Will demo progress carry over?

Not always. Check after purchase. Starting survivors are free in 1.0 even if Training did not import.

Is the embedded video the current demo?

It is a Steam Fest capture of the auto-fire loop. Install the live demo for the build you will actually play.
