Yet Another Zombie Survivors Training Points and Prestige

Refundable meta, nine survivor trees, and how 1.0 asks you to start over on purpose.

Training and Prestige

Training is the permanent board you open after the first completed run. It is not a talent you pick during a level-up. It is account-wide, it is refundable, and it is the reason a second Isolated City attempt feels fairer than the first. 1.0 keeps that board and adds prestige on top: a higher state of being after you have already broken the normal curve. This page is the meta guide. Run tactics stay on Getting Started and Survive until dawn.

Training Points come from money collected in runs and from some achievements. Each purchase also raises an account level that gates later rows. Older wiki snapshots talk about five categories and several hundred points to cap everything. Treat the in-game node costs as source of truth after a patch. The important rule did not change: you can strip a node and get the points back. On keyboard that is the refund bind shown on the node (E / Y / Triangle in older notes). Refund often.

First purchases

Role Player increases XP. It is the node that makes weapon evolutions arrive before minute seven. Gotta Go Fast is movement. Bigger Bullets is weapon damage. Trigger Happy Havoc is fire rate. Rock Hard is armor. Magnetium Supplement is pickup radius. Power Metal and Faster, Better… buff abilities and cooldowns once you actually use abilities. Universal Income is only if you are tired of waiting on the next Training Point. Happiness-style nodes that improve power-up quality are excellent for Hardcore because chests and frenzy drops decide the last two minutes.

Do not cap a vanity column because the icon looks like a katana. Do not sit on unspent points “for later.” Spend, test a dawn, refund, spend again. The Hardcore page assumes you already did this.

Nine survivor skill trees

On top of the shared board, each survivor has a skill tree. 1.0 marketing calls out nine trees and extra ranks, including a fifth column that was still in progress during 0.9. Nodes modify that survivor’s weapons and abilities, add evolutions, and tag damage types. Rank 4 damage-type tags on tooltips matter when you are building ice Mechanic or explosive Tank. Open the tree from the loadout / Zombiepedia flow. If a weapon will not appear, you are looking at a mutually exclusive tier: Assault Rifle and Grenade Launcher do not coexist on SWAT. The left panel on Select Team Leader shows the legal line.

Rank the survivor as leader if you want the perk doubled and extra power-ups. Five thousand kills to rank 2, twenty thousand more to rank 3. This is separate from Training Points. You can have a fully bought shared board and a rank 1 Ranger who still feels like a passenger. The unlock guide is the other half of that grind.

Prestige and the HUB

Prestige is the 1.0 New Game+ style loop. You opt into a harder virus, stronger and faster zombies, and a reward for not being afraid. Do not prestige because a YouTube thumbnail told you to. Prestige when Default on your last map is boring and Training is already doing the job. Quests in the new HUB accelerate meta without replacing it. The studio said you can ignore story and still obtain almost everything. Use quests when you want a directed excuse to play a survivor you have been avoiding.

HUB downtime is also where you reread tooltips. 0.9 already added DPS on pause-menu weapons, better evolution text, and Auto Selection. 1.0 keeps that quality-of-life. If a node description and a wiki table disagree, the node wins.

Example trees, not commandments

Dawn learner: Role Player 3+, Gotta Go Fast 3+, Bigger Bullets 2+, leftover into pickup radius. Hardcore: add Rock Hard, fire rate, crit if Huntress is in the squad, refund income. Endurance 30+: cooldown for Engineer shield, never all the way to zero cooldown or the run can hitch. Ranger learning: crit and luck on the shared board so her aura has something to multiply. Tank rocket nights: explosive and area nodes, then refund back to SWAT rifle nights.

If you want a preset trio to hang those trees on, open best squads and the squad planner. If a node is locked behind a map you do not have, the maps walkthrough tells you which Default badge you skipped. Official leftovers live on the Trello roadmap.

Training is a sandbox. The only expensive mistake is refusing to refund. Take Isolated City to dawn with two different trees this week. The one that feels like cheating is the one you should keep until Bio Lab asks for a third.
