Main Bosses in Yet Another Zombie Survivors
Five map finales. Not Endurance Elite Bosses. Burst, then leave.
The 1.0 changelog, shipped 20 August 2026, listed five main bosses, two standard bosses, and three new standard enemies. Play on 1.0.0c2. You still steer a single-player squad of three. There is no co-op. There are no redeem codes. Nintendo Switch is planned and not released. Ranger unlocks at Survival Level 175. This page is the finale layer: the five map stamps, how those fights show up in Boss Rush, and why they are not Elite Bosses. Geography lives on maps. Walker tables live on enemies. The feature list lives on version 1.0.
Do not invent unique 1.0 boss proper names. Zombiepedia and hover text remain source of truth. Documented map threats you will already meet include Wendigo, Chainsawman, Derailer, Humongous, and Horrid. Treat those as map threats, not as a leaked roster of secret finale titles. The stamps the game actually prints for the five map finales are achievement names.
Five map finales
Isolated City stamps I’m The Boss. Vile Wasteland stamps I Must Not Fear. Green Hell stamps Wendi Go Away, a Wendigo line. Dead Terminal stamps Train Suplex. Bio Lab stamps Still Alive. You fight those finales as dedicated arena bosses and as the 1.0 Boss Rush minute-ten contract. Isolated City Default still teaches spit and density. It is not the finale exam. Read Isolated City for the parking lot, then come back here when a bar with a nameplate refuses to leave.
Chain order stays Isolated City → Vile Wasteland → Green Hell → Dead Terminal → Bio Lab. Winning Default on one map opens the next. Winning a finale on Isolated City does not gift Bio Lab’s stamp. Hover the icon. Modes unlock per map.
Not Elite Bosses, not old Boss Rush
Endurance Elite Bosses start after minute 20 and stack every five to ten minutes. They reuse fat walkers with more HP, faster wind-ups, and some crowd-control they ignore. They are the long-run tax. They are not the five main bosses. If you treat a minute-ten finale like minute 21 of Endurance, you dump burst too early or you bring a turret museum that cannot delete a bar.
Old Early Access Boss Rush was elite spam. Version 1.0 rebuilt it into a race to minute ten, then the area’s toughest foe. If a 2024 guide still says infinite elites until you drown, throw it out. The script is How to beat Boss Rush. Hardcore remains a different ten-minute kite. Infinite remains thirty minutes of Endurance per arena. Main bosses are the named finale, not the sandbox.
Standard bosses still include Butcher, Witch, Charger, and Big Mummy. Those are map bosses you already loop, clip, and leave on Default. They can headline arena rotations with fatter bars. They are not a substitute for the five main stamps. A Butcher on Isolated City is homework. I’m The Boss is the exam.
Burst guns, not turret museums
Take burst over a coil farm. SWAT rifle, Ghost protocol, Tank rockets. Finish a line before you collect four gadgets. Weapon range matters because finales want space. Shotguns fall off. Standing still to “let turrets finish” is how 1.0 finales end your clip. Recipes live on weapon tiers and best builds.
Workhorse: SWAT lead, Engineer, Tank. Shield buys the kite. Rifle and rockets delete the bar. Swap Tank for Ghost when you already kite and the bar will not die. Do not lead unranked Ranger into a first finale. Rescue her. Rank her later. Mechanic ice is a second-exam toy. Medic lead is a Camp clipboard.
Team Bond, the 1.0.0c name for Friendship, still caps shared Cash and Specialization at 250. You do not need a story briefing to dodge a telegraph. Skip Glass Cannon without a shield. Arena bosses advertised at launch can one-shot a greedy chest.
Map notes without invented names
Isolated City: spit cones plus a fat bar. Keep moving. The parking-lot school is Isolated City. Vile Wasteland: the worm is still a wall; the finale does not pause it. Geometry is Vile Wasteland. Green Hell: packs clump and Wendi Go Away is the Wendigo line. Play it like city Default with less room to panic-turn. Page: Green Hell. Dead Terminal: tight interiors, trains, Train Suplex. Turret clutter in a hallway is a wipe. Page: Dead Terminal. Bio Lab: the ring is still toxic during the race and during the finale. Orbit the safe band. Page: Bio Lab.
Hotfix 1.0.0c2, 28 August 2026, fixed Bio Lab Boss Rush’s final boss stuck in its transition. If you farmed that fight between 20 and 28 August and the finale froze, retry on 1.0.0c2. Notes: hotfixes. Launch-week threads that describe a frozen Bio Lab finale are describing a build that no longer exists.
Practice order
- Isolated City Default dawn. 2. Isolated City Hardcore with the workhorse. 3. Isolated City Boss Rush, then I’m The Boss. 4. Later maps in chain order. 5. Bio Lab last, with a shield, after city finales are boring. A Camp clipboard that wants Bio Lab’s finale during week one is optional. Decline it. Infinite and Elite Bosses are a different sport after minute 20. Main bosses are the stamp you chase when the gun is finished and the kite is honest.
If a bar feels unfair, you brought a turret museum, you skipped the rifle, or you learned Bio Lab here. Refund Training. Role Player so evolutions arrive before minute ten. Gotta Go Fast so the exit exists. Bigger Bullets for the gun. Then take Isolated City until I’m The Boss is boring. The video in this article is a boss-killer run. Use it for tone. Use burst for the stamp.
