Huntress is the first unlock that actually changes Isolated City. Survive fifteen minutes in one run and she stops being a silhouette. Leader perk and rescue perk both donate Eagle Eye, the team-wide crit engine. Rescue is half value and still the reason SWAT rifles start one-shotting packs. Rank 2 at 5,000 leader kills. Rank 3 after 20,000 more. Rank 5 in 1.0 adds synergy nodes that feed crit, marks, and decoy uptime when Ghost, Ranger, or a rocket partner is present. Rank her if you actually lead bow nights. Do not rank her instead of SWAT while Isolated City Hardcore is still a corpse screen.
Bow stacks, not explosive delay
Finish the bow into multi-shot. Explosive arrows look like a screen-clear and then sit on a corpse for three seconds while the horde walks through you. Freezing arrows are a control fork, not the default dawn. Eagle Eye is the first ability worth a point. Arrow Rain is the screen card after the bow exists. Zombie Decoy is the “please hit her instead” card for axe elites and Elite Bosses. 1.0 weapon range still loves this kit: the bow is honest at distance. See weapon tiers.
If the board offers a bow stack and an Arrow Rain stack, take the bow until it evolves. If both weapons in the squad are finished, feed Eagle Eye. Reroll once if the bow is missing. Auto Selection is for farm nights after Isolated City is a badge, not for your first Hardcore.
Squads
Workhorse after unlock: SWAT lead, Engineer, Huntress. Crit school: same trio forever. Boss nights: SWAT or Ghost, Engineer, Huntress. Tank lead plus Huntress is crit rockets. Ranger as rescue wants this aura while Fear applies. Medic plus Huntress is a HUB quest, not a dawn. Recipes: best squads and the squad planner.
Do not refuse her ping because “the bow is not evolved yet.” Half Eagle Eye is still a crit engine. The bow can finish after she is on the squad.
Modes
Default: put her in as soon as the fifteen-minute popup fires, even if you die after. Survive until dawn gets easier the same night. Hardcore: she is slot three, not an unranked lead — How to beat Hardcore. Endurance after twenty minutes: decoy steals axe attention while Elite Bosses wind up. Boss Rush wants the bow finished before minute ten, not a rain that lands behind the finale. Bio Lab wants range plus a shield; she is the range. Infinite is where Arrow Rain becomes wallpaper. That is not a Default plan.
Isolated City Default is the unlock farm. You do not need Vile Wasteland. You do not need Endurance. You need to walk until 15:00.
Training, Camp, items
Crit nodes, Role Player, movement. Refund vanity. Training. Camp missions that force a Huntress lead can wait; retry from the Mission Log. Team Bond still fills from workhorse clears.
