Yet Another Zombie Survivors How to Survive Dead Terminal
Crimson tracks, pins, elites, and the dawn that unlocks Bio Lab.
Dead Terminal is the fourth map in Yet Another Zombie Survivors. It arrived in Early Access 0.9 and it is still the station exam after version 1.0 launched on 20 August 2026. The current patch is 1.0.0c2 from 28 August 2026. The palette is crimson steel and rust. Trains are an environmental hazard, not scenery. Stay off the tracks. You steer a single-player squad of up to three survivors through platforms, interiors, and pins. Nobody else is coming. There is no co-op. There are no redeem codes. Default dawn here lasts about twenty minutes. Win that clock and this map starts unlocking Endurance, later Hardcore, Boss Rush, and One Hit for the terminal only. Win it and the next map, Bio Lab, also opens. Lose it and Ranger at Survival Level 175 is noise.
Unlock the station by winning Default on Green Hell. If puddles and tracking shots still kill you, stay in the trees. The chain is Isolated City → Vile Wasteland → Green Hell → Dead Terminal → Bio Lab. Geography lives on the maps walkthrough. This page is the terminal itself: trains, the 0.9 roster, Elite Bosses, the workhorse plus Mechanic ice, the Train Suplex finale, and when you are actually allowed to leave for the ring.
Stay off the tracks
Trains hit like a Worm slam that already chose a lane. The correct response is not to park on the rails and “DPS the car.” Leave the line. Interiors look safe until a pack plus a pin plus a turret museum close the door. Do not hug map edges. Do not reverse into a wall for a chest. 1.0.0c2 patched Bio Lab Boss Rush’s finale, not this map’s trains. The tracks still kill. See version 1.0 for what launch actually changed; the station geometry is older and still mean.
Long sightlines fill anyway. Treat empty platforms as delayed density, not as a camping permit. Magnets still yank every gem; save them for a death donut you refuse to walk into. Health kits expire. Walk a heart only when you are actually hurt.
Derailer, Chainsawman, Horrid, Humongous
0.9 shipped six new enemies. Learn the named four here. Derailer hits the ground toward you. The slam can pin the blob against walls. That is why edges are illegal. Keep a reverse lane that is not a wall. Engineer shield buys a pin you already ate. Speed Training buys fewer pins.
Chainsawman is the jumping mini-boss. It closes on the player fast. A parked turret cluster is a landing pad. Keep moving when the leap starts. Treat it like Green Hell’s Werewolf with less vegetation and more steel.
Horrid spawns damaging cysts that act like bombs. Do not stand on the gift. Do not plant Tesla on a cyst and call it area denial. Lead the pop into a pack if you want free damage. Leave if the cyst sits on your exit.
Humongous turns brethren into elites. Kill it before the lobby becomes a promotion ceremony. Single-target (rifle, evolved rockets) matters more than a fourth coil. The rest of the 0.9 six are in the spawn table; hover the silhouette and assume it is meaner than city trash. Named fat walkers still exist. The full habit list lives on Enemies and Elite Bosses.
Elite Bosses also arrived in 0.9 Endurance. After about twenty minutes they start stacking. They ignore some walker crowd-control. They wind up faster as horde level climbs in 1.0. They drop Tag upgrades. They are not Boss Rush. They are the tax that makes thirty minutes of Endurance a contract. If you cannot Default Isolated City, stop. This station is not a classroom.
Workhorse, ice, interiors
Leader: SWAT. Rescues: Engineer and Tank. Rifle, Energy Shield, rockets. That trio is still the first clear. Shield covers pins. Rockets delete clumps on platforms. Mechanic ice can freeze a lane shut if you already own her — useful on tracks, useless if you freeze your own exit. Do not park turrets in interiors. Tight rooms plus Derailer plus Chainsawman is a wipe. Huntress can replace Tank after fifteen minutes if Eagle Eye is online. Keep walking. Ranger is a 1.0 rescue at Survival Level 175, not an unranked station lead. Medic lead is a Camp clipboard.
Finish the leader gun before you collect four mediocre gadgets. Role Player so evolutions arrive before elites. Gotta Go Fast so tracks are optional. Training points are refundable. Nintendo Switch is planned after launch and is not out; play the station on the platforms that actually shipped 1.0.
Modes, badges, Train Suplex
Default dawn is Tickets Please!, about twenty minutes. That badge opens Bio Lab and this map’s other modes. Isolated City Hardcore does not gift Dead Terminal Hardcore. Hover the icon.
Endurance here is a prestige flex, not a classroom. Ten minutes is Slow Train. Twenty minutes is Fright Train. Infinite unlocks at thirty minutes of Endurance per arena after hotfix 1.0.0c. It is not a Hardcore gift. Elite Bosses are why minute 25 feels like a different game. Read How to survive Endurance before you farm the thirty-minute gate. Hardcore is ten mean minutes. Evolve the rifle immediately. Keep moving. Use How to beat Hardcore when swamp clears feel automatic.
Extermination is twenty waves. Final Destination is the station version. Turret museums lose when the next wave spawns on your feet. Read How to beat Extermination if a Camp clipboard asks for waves. One Hit is about five minutes. “One hit” includes trains. Do not take Glass Cannon. Do not learn Bio Lab here.
Boss Rush 1.0 is a race to minute ten, then the area finale. The station finale achievement is Train Suplex. You fight that finale as the map’s main boss and again in 1.0 Boss Rush at minute ten. Burst guns. Do not plant a turret museum on the tracks. Read main bosses when the bar looks personal. Camp missions and Team Bond (the 1.0.0c name for Friendship, shared Cash and Specialization, cap 250) are optional. You do not need a story briefing to leave a rail.
When to leave for Bio Lab
Leave when Dead Terminal Default is a badge you can repeat without thinking. Winning Default here is the key that opens Bio Lab. The ring adds toxic fumes and a red decontamination band. If trains and pins still kill you, the circle will cook you. Stay on the platforms to learn edge discipline. Bio Lab is a terrible first farm because the fail condition is not the horde.
If Dead Terminal still kills you, it is almost never missing Ranger. It is a missing exit from a track or a wall. Put SWAT in slot one, accept two rescues, stay off the rails, and take the station to dawn again.
