Everything Awesome Games Studio shipped after the 20 August 2026 launch.

Post-1.0 Hotfixes

Version 1.0 left Early Access on 20 August 2026. The launch day was not the last patch. Awesome Games Studio followed it with hotfix 1.0.0a the same afternoon, 1.0.0b on 21 August, 1.0.0c on 26 August, and sub-hotfix 1.0.0c2 on 28 August. This page is the post-launch desk the Updates Hub promised: what actually changed after Ranger, Bio Lab, and The Camp shipped, and which wiki pages you should reread. The launch feature list still lives on version 1.0. Early Access archaeology stays on patch history.

If you only remember one sentence: update the game, then treat Team Bond, Infinite unlock text, Bio Lab Boss Rush, and the Display tab as the 1.0 you actually own. Launch-week Steam threads that still quote Friendship per survivor, a Hardcore-gated Infinite, or a 60 FPS interface cap are describing a build that no longer exists.

1.0.0a (20 August 2026)

Launch-afternoon emergency. The SELECT AREA screen could lock the interface. Dying to Bio Lab’s decontamination zone could leave the run stuck. Engineer’s model glitched. Ice Turret did not tag its damage as Ice, which broke status combos that the weapon tier list assumes. The German Taser description was wrong. If you launched 1.0 at 11:00 UTC and bounced off a frozen area picker or a red-zone death that would not exit, this is the patch that unstuck you. Play on 1.0.0c2 anyway.

1.0.0b (21 August 2026)

The quality-of-life drop. Gameplay interfaces are no longer capped at 60 FPS, which matters on 144 Hz and 165 Hz monitors and on Steam Deck docks. Display gained a toggle for whether the mouse cursor sticks to the window; multi-monitor stutter often came from the cursor leaving the game and clicking the desktop. Missions got easier objectives. Items spawned from 99’th Balloon now count toward mission goals. Mechanic’s Cooling Mods applies its extra Ice instance before the original hit, so a one-shot is Ice. Bio Lab became selectable on leaderboards. Good Boy and Falcon (Ranger’s animals) got quieter. Healtpak pickup logic, XP gems stacking in one spot, Turkish glyphs, and the Camera Movement accessibility readout were fixed.

If your late-game UI felt glued to 60 while the horde rendered higher, open Display after this patch. If Bio Lab never appeared on the leaderboard picker, that was a 1.0.0b bug, not a missing unlock. See game modes for how leaderboards interact with speed hotkeys added later.

1.0.0c (26 August 2026)

The identity patch. Friendship was renamed Team Bond because the bonus is a shared team total on Cash and Specialization, not a per-survivor sticker you only cash when that name is on the squad. Maximum Team Bond is 250; below that cap the Survivor Crossing Torment was unobtainable. New missions now appear in the Mission Log after you read the brief, so you can switch and retry without playing the offered run first. Trauma needs two items instead of three. XP gems keep dropping after the on-screen pile limit; oldest gems combine, so no XP is lost. PC gained Remap Controls bindings for Speed up and Slow down (below 100% disables leaderboards), an FPS Counter, and Hide Build Version. Default mouse cursor on PC went back to unlocked. Save slot one can be deleted again. Volume scaling, tooltip pop-ups, and achievement toast placement were cleaned up.

Bugfixes in the same drop: mission completion not saving, Infinite unlock requirements displayed incorrectly, a PC quit hang, Last Unicorn now tagged as healing, Monkey Business achievement, SWAT Ricochet: Shattering dealing Slash, Tank Bombing Strike: Bioweapon missing VFX, Ghost Kunai Dance jitter. The Infinite rule itself was already set in the 1.0 changelog: reach 30 minutes in Endurance on that arena, not Hardcore. 1.0.0c only fixed the lying tooltip. Full Team Bond write-up: Friendship / Team Bond.

1.0.0c2 (28 August 2026)

Today’s sub-hotfix for people already inside Bio Lab and the Camp. Bio Lab Boss Rush’s final boss could stick in its transition; that fight is playable again. The Mission Log shows missions that are available but not yet offered. Returning to Camp after a run should always offer a different mission. A main story GPS Data Packets objective could break; it is patched. Bleeding status now applies correctly. Specialization Points from missions and Team Bond actually apply. Flarebolt framedrops are reduced. Changing game speed on PC shows a popup, and hotkey speed only lasts that run; permanent speed lives under Accessibility.

If you farmed Boss Rush on Bio Lab between 20 and 28 August and the finale froze, retry on 1.0.0c2. If your endscreen Specialization ignored Camp bonuses, that math is now honest. If you were chasing Survivor Crossing, push Team Bond to 250 first.

What to reread after these hotfixes

Game modes for Infinite and leaderboards. Mission Log for the brief-then-retry loop. HUB and quests for Trauma and Camp rotation. Items for Balloon objectives, Last Unicorn, and Glass of Milk (already not a healing item since 1.0). Ranger for quieter animals. Platforms and settings for FPS, cursor lock, speed keys, and the spec sheet. Torments for Survivor Crossing. Bio Lab for the decontamination lock and the Boss Rush finale.

Do not invent 1.0.0d. Steam news remains the legal source. F8 still wants an email. Discord and support@awesomegamesstudio.com still exist. When the next numbered hotfix lands, this page will grow a new heading instead of rewriting every guide in a panic.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the current patch?

Stable release is 1.0.0c2 (28 August 2026). A public beta branch (build 25165289) opened 7 September 2026 — check in-game news for the beta changelog before applying it to your main save.

Was Friendship removed?

No. 1.0.0c renamed it Team Bond. It is a shared Cash and Specialization bonus for the whole team, capped at 250.

How do I unlock Infinite now?

Reach 30 minutes in Endurance on that arena. Hardcore is not the gate. 1.0.0c fixed the tooltip that still said otherwise.

Why is my FPS stuck at 60 in menus?

That was a launch cap. 1.0.0b removed it. Raise Max FPS in Display and, on multi-monitor PCs, check the cursor-stick toggle.
