Yet Another Zombie Survivors How to Play Infinite Mode

The sandbox after 30 minutes of Endurance. Break slots. Most badges stay off.

How to Play Infinite

Infinite is the sandbox that 0.9 split out of old Endless. Item slot limits loosen. The clock does not end the run. Most achievements stay disabled so the mode does not replace Default, Hardcore, or Camp homework. Leaderboards exist for people who want to mow until the client wheezes. This page is how to play it after you already own the badge. Unlocking is a different article: how to unlock Infinite. The exam that unlocks it is how to survive Endurance. The menu of modes is game modes. 1.0 launched 20 August 2026; play on 1.0.0c2.

If a Steam thread says “stand in a corner for an hour,” it is talking about this mode, not Default dawn. Endurance still one-shots greedy kits after minute thirty-five. Infinite is where turret museums and 89 favorite items become a screensaver. Popcorn sold separately, as the 0.9 post joked.

What the rules actually are

No item cap in the sense the mode was designed for: you can keep walking over chests. That does not mean every chest is a good idea. Magnets still yank gems into a death donut if you stand still. Glass Cannon still deletes you if Engineer is not in the squad. See items and the item tier list.

Most achievements are off. Do not farm Story, Team Bond ticks that expect a real exam, or restriction badges here and then wonder why Steam did not tick. Use Default, Endurance, Hardcore, and the Mission Log for those. Team Bond still wants finishes you actually treat as runs, not only Infinite AFK.

Leaderboards are per arena and difficulty. Bio Lab became selectable on that picker in 1.0.0b. Speed below 100 percent on PC (1.0.0c Remap Controls) disables leaderboards. Permanent speed lives under accessibility. Score hunting lives on leaderboards.

Workhorse still works: SWAT lead, Engineer, Tank or Huntress. Ghost plus shield looks AFK in clips and still dies if you treat Infinite like Endurance without the item toys. Ranger as an unranked lead is a bad idea here too. Recipes: best squads.

Finish a weapon line anyway. Infinite is not an excuse to split the gun. 1.0 weapon range still applies. See weapon tiers.

What to skip

Do not learn the genre here. Getting Started and Survive until dawn are the school. Do not farm Elite Bosses practice on Infinite and expect Endurance muscle memory; Elite Bosses are an Endurance tax after minute 20. Do not bring five joke dolls and write a review. Do not confuse this with Boss Rush.

Bio Lab Infinite is a later sandbox. The ring is still an extra enemy. Unlock city Infinite first.

If the run hitchs, you stacked zero cooldown and a turret museum. Leave a sliver. 1.0.0c2 already cut Flarebolt hitching; your museum is still on you.

Item-cap sandbox versus Endurance Elite Bosses

Infinite drops the item slot limit so you can keep walking over chests. That is the toy. Endurance does not. Elite Bosses after minute 20 on Endurance still ignore some crowd-control, still wind up faster as horde level climbs, and still one-shot a greedy kit after minute 35. Do not farm Elite Boss muscle memory here. The sandbox will let you stack 89 favorites and a turret museum; Endurance will not. If you want the 30:00 badge, play Endurance at 100 percent speed. Infinite is what you open after that badge exists on that arena.

Achievement disable list, practical

Most Steam badges stay off in Infinite. Story ticks from the Mission Log want Default, Hardcore, or the assigned Camp mission, not an AFK mow. Restriction badges (no rescues, no items, tag-only kills) want a real exam. Survival Level still farms from XP, but Team Bond (cap 250 after 1.0.0c renamed Friendship) wants finishes you treat as runs. Ranger still unlocks at Survival Level 175 on the account, not from a screensaver. There are no promo codes. Do not sit in Infinite hoping a Story achievement pops.

When to leave Infinite and go back to Camp

Leave when a Camp mission is sitting in the log. Leave when Hardcore is still a corpse screen. Leave when Isolated City Endurance is not yet 30:00. Leave when you stacked zero cooldown and the client hitchs. Infinite is a toy you earned. Camp homework is how Training Points and Team Bond actually move. Go back. This is a single-player squad of three. The sandbox does not invent a fourth friend. There is no co-op.

Infinite is the toy you earned at 30:00 of Endurance on that map. Use it to break items, test a joke, or post a score. Then go back to Default when a badge still matters. That is the page, not a second unlock checklist.
